Each year, RS21 highlights and donates to nine organizations that exemplify our nine core values, putting action behind our beliefs. This year, our team selected the organizations whose efforts stand out to them in advancing tech equity and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Do Good With Data | The Jed Foundation (Day 1)
Michelle Archuleta, RS21 Director of Data Science, celebrates our value Do Good With Data by highlighting The Jed Foundation.
The non-profit that helps protect emotional health and prevent suicide for our nation’s teens and young adults. The non-profit’s work is particularly important today as young people navigate social media, which has been found to have a strong link to mental and emotional health.
Evoke Childlike Wonder | Casa Q (Day 2)
Elan Colello, RS21 Senior Product Designer, puts a spotlight on Casa Q and explains why we’re donating to this non-profit for their commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and Evoking Childlike Wonder.
Casa Q provides safe living options and services for LGBTQ youth who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness.
Disrupt | Electronic Frontier Foundation (Day 3)

The Electronic Frontier Foundation’s work disrupts the tech industry by ensuring that technology supports freedom, justice, and innovation for all people of the world. They’ve helped celar the way for open source software, file sharing tools, encryption and more.
Evolve & Learn | Adelante Development Center (Day 4)
Monica Alvarez and Chloe Edeal-Smith, members of our software development team, highlight Adelante Development Center for our value Evolve & Learn.
Adelante is a diverse nonprofit organization that supports people with mental and physical disabilities, seniors, and disadvantaged populations across New Mexico.

The Human Rights Data Analysis Group applies rigorous science to the analysis of human rights violations around the world.
Be Real | Women in Data Science (Day 6)

Women in Data Science is taking action to support women in data science, a field in which women are underrepresented, through an annual conference and various ongoing programs.
Sustain The Movement | Organization for Social Media Safety (Day 7)

The Organization for Social Media Safety helps protect against cyberbullying, hate speech, propaganda and more. The non-profit advocates for safe and positive spaces online for everyone.
Cultivate our Communities | Maven Youth (Day 8)
Darold Ross, RS21 Project Manager, gives Maven Youth a shoutout for Cultivating Our Communities.
Maven Youth is dedicated to helping LGBT+ youth thrive in school, work and life, and we are excited to celebrate their work in making our communities better for everyone.
Love Humanity | MotherCoders (Day 9)
For our final organization highlight for “9 Days of Values, 9 Days of Giving”, Annemarie Henton, our Director of State + Local Services, leave us with a message of Loving Humanity by highlighting MotherCoders, a non-profit that exemplifies this value of lifting others and embracing diverse perspectives.
MotherCoders grows the tech talent pool by helping women with kids to gain the skills, knowledge, and connections they need to thrive in today’s digital economy.

We reach our full potential only as we come together as our authentic selves. Dissimilar perspectives, diverse experiences, and different backgrounds strengthen our team, our ideas, and our work. At RS21, we seek out dreamers who will share fresh viewpoints and challenge our status quo.
With input and counsel from our three employee-led working groups (the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Working Group, the Values Working Group, and the Employee Wellbeing Working Group), we endeavor to create an inclusive and equitable environment that reflects the communities we work in and serve. A place where people from all backgrounds — regardless of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status — can come together for collaboration, creativity, engagement, and honest exchange.
